Most things are answered below. Anything else — a bug, a question, an idea for a shuffle mode — goes to a real person at the address at the bottom.

support@entropy.fmWhat do I need to run Entropy?
An iPhone on iOS 18.4 or later, and music in the Music app on that phone. The first time you open Entropy it asks permission to read your library, then imports it.
I added new music. How do I get it into Entropy?
Open Settings from the gear on the Shuffle screen, then Import & sync, and tap Sync Library. It reports what it added, updated, re-linked, and what has gone from your library since last time.
Entropy does not pull in new music on its own — a sync is something you ask for. So after a run of buying records, that is the button to press.
Does listening in Entropy count in the Music app?
Yes. Playback runs through Apple's own music player, so a song played in Entropy is counted as a play in Music exactly as it would be if you had started it there. Entropy also keeps its own counts for its shuffle algorithms, and reads Music's existing play counts, skip counts and ratings once at import so it is not starting from a blank slate.
Do I have to keep my playlists in two places?
No — playlists are never copied, and they are the one thing Entropy refreshes by itself. It re-reads them from Music every time it launches, so a playlist you edited this morning is already correct without a sync.
How do I turn the radio hosts off?
Settings › Entropy FM › Radio DJ breaks. The whole station can be switched off, and short of that you can change how often the hosts come in and which occasions they speak on.
Can Alex read names in other languages?
Yes — Alex changes voice to suit the writing. When a title or an artist name is in a non-Latin script, Entropy picks the best voice on your phone for that language and reads it in that voice, then goes back to English.
Better voices are a free download, and they make a real difference. Under iOS Settings › Accessibility › Spoken Content › Voices there is a wide choice of high-quality voices; anything you install becomes available to Entropy straight away. That improves both the English voice — which you choose yourself, in Entropy's settings — and the other languages, where Entropy picks the best one you have installed.
Entropy can't see my library
That is the permission. Go to iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Media & Apple Music and make sure Entropy is allowed. Settings › Import & sync inside the app shows the current permission state.
Does it work with Siri?
Yes. Siri understands phrases like “Shuffle album pairs in Entropy,” and there are Shortcuts actions for building a shuffle into a routine of your own, plus Now Playing and one-tap shuffle widgets for the home screen.
Reporting a bug
Email is best. What helps most: which mode and variant you were in, what you expected, and what happened instead. If you can, include the version number shown at the bottom of Settings.
